Michael Purcell

Michael is one of the founders and original principals of Purcell Taylor Lawyers. He has extensive experience across many areas of law.

Early in his career, he specialised in commercial law, before moving on to serve as a Legal Aid practitioner. He later took on the role of public solicitor for Vanuatu and consulted on the revamp of Queensland's Criminal Code in the early '90s. Ultimately, he rounded out his career as the North's most senior Independent Children's Lawyer, specialising in family law.

Michael works predominantly with our Family Law Team as well as providing general advice and assistance across other areas of our business. Michael is well known for assisting defence force veterans and personnel with claims and review of decisions. Michael uses his wealth of experience to assist clients to achieve practical resolutions to problems.
