Jamie Scuderi is a Senior Associate with Purcell Taylor Lawyers, dealing in criminal law, domestic violence and proceeds of crime matters.
She has a reputation for adopting a compassionate, strategic and careful approach and providing comprehensive, pragmatic and timely advice to all her clients.
Jamie completed her Bachelor of Laws in conjunction with a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2012 at Griffith University and was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2014.
Since admission, Jamie has practiced in the Queensland jurisdiction, appearing before the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts and has instructed Counsel in all types of criminal hearings including in the Court of Appeal. Jamie has a solid foundation in the workings of the criminal justice system, having been employed with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for six years before transitioning to private practice in 2016.
She was recommended as Rising Star – Criminal Law – by Doyle’s guide in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Jamie is a committee member of the Criminal Law Committee of the Queensland Law Society, is a mentor with the Women’s Lawyers Association of Queensland Mentoring program and is an Official Visitor (Legal) – a statutory appointment to visit prisoners to help and manager complaints.
