Amaya has always had a passion for the law and, specifically, a desire to understand the laws that govern our society.
Hailing originally from Rockhampton, she moved to Townsville for university and now considers herself a proud Townsville local. Amaya excellent during her legal studies and obtained exceptional results. She graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction. She received a university prize for achieving the highest grade point average of her graduating year.
Amaya works in our commercial law, wills and estates departments. She has already had considerable experience in conveyancing including assisting clients to buy and sell residential and commercial property. Amaya has a careful and considered approach to all matters and easily establishes good working relationships with her clients as a result of her diligence, knowledge and very personable manner.
When she is not at work Amaya spends her time volunteering. She is a grassroots organiser for the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, the secretary for the Management Committee of the North Queensland Conservation Council and a member of the Townsville Community Alliance.
She is also a member of the Townsville Young Chamber of Commerce and the Townsville District Law Association.
